In January, the festival committee came together with plans in place to do another one-day local-flavored festival. We left with a two-day festival and the goal of national acts to bolster the event. Hard work and lots of searching and contacting led to a line-up that is strong on the local side with artists like Ashley Heath, Roots & Dore, The Zuzu Welsh Band, Moses Jones and Virginia & The Slims to name a few, and two home-run headliners, Janiva Magness on Saturday the 19th and Grady Champion on Sunday the 20th.
Vendors will be on site and vendor opportunities as well as business participation through advertising and sponsorships also exist - The Hop will be on site with ice cream, The Karma Bus will be there with all manner of creativity, the bands will have merchandise on premises, we will have someone on site making jewelry, and we have Hennai Sophia on site as well.
Saturday the music will start at 1PM and run until they make us stop. The line-up (times are approximate, it IS a festival after all!):
Ashley Heath – 1pm
Paper Crowns – 2:30pm
Moses Jones – 4pm
Dirty Badgers – 5:30PM
Janiva Magness – 7:30PM
Ticket price for Saturday - $25
Sunday, the music will start at 2PM and run until 10PM or so. The line-up (times are approximate, again, its a festival!):
Roots & Dore – 2pm
Virginia & The Slims – 3:30PM
Zuzu Welsh Band – 5pm
Grady Champion – 7:30PM
Tickets for Sunday are $25.
